Ralph Cunningham Gives Presentation at the District Architecture Center

On June 21st, 2012 Ralph Cunningham FAIA gave a presentation at the District Architecture Center (DAC) entitled Building / Site / Landscape.

In his presentation Mr. Cunningham presented several building and landscape relationships including Town & Gown, Town & Country, and Town & Garden.  The presentation connected these relationships to examples of recent and ongoing work at Cunningham | Quill Architects: the Sherman and Gloria H. Cohen Career Center, Dumbarton Oaks, Holman Hall, Middle Patuxent, Northern Neck, Catch & Release, Mother & Child, and the Treehouse.

The presentation was part of the DAC 25 Architect Series.  As noted on the DAC website:

The 25 Architects series intends to educate the public about good design in an urban or suburban context. Award-winning members of the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects show effective strategies for home design and remodeling projects. Interactive sessions include time for questions and answers. The 25 Architects series is presented by the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Washington Architectural Foundation.
