Lee Quill FAIA to Present Strategic Investment Area (SIA) Plan at Virginia Society AIA – 27th Annual Architecture Exchange East Conference in Richmond, VA

The VSAIA Architecture Exchange is a three-day statewide conference where outstanding thinkers and practitioners will share their thoughts and experiences in lectures and panel discussions exploring the latest architecture and planning trends from across the region at the Greater Richmond Convention Center from November 5 – November 7, 2014.

Lee Quill FAIA, CNU will lead a presentation and roundtable discussion with Charlottesville City Council Member and Architect Kathy Galvin AIA, CNU-A; Charlottesville Director of Neighborhood Development Services Jim Tolbert AICP; and Charlottesville Director of Economic Development Chris Engel CecD.  “A Better Vision Plan: Navigating Public Process in Diverse Communities” is part of the 300 Series Lecture Session on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4:15pm – 5:45pm. The presentation and discussion will use the award winning Charlottesville Strategic Investment Area (SIA) Plan as a vehicle to illustrate innovative sustainable urban design strategies and demonstrate the process of public engagement in an iterative master planning investigation.  Ensuring future public and private investment in the SIA, the proposed revitalization plan’s success is due in large part to the extensive outreach to a diverse group of community stakeholders.
