GOOD HOPE ROAD
Hope View Apartments in the SE in the Washington, DC Anacostia Historic District, is a new mixed-use affordable housing project. The project consists of 42 affordable rental apartments and will be the new home of Recovery Café DC, a non-profit that is dedicated in providing a healing and transformative recovery community. Cunningham Quill Architects collaborated with Anacostia Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), T&H Investments, and the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) approvals. It’s anticipated the project will be complete in the fall of 2025. The project will include 93 roof mounted solar panels in a 36.27 kW Photovoltaic System that will offset 33% of the buildings electrical loads and provide energy savings estimated at 27,734 trees planted or 107,092 miles (not) driven over the course of its lifespan. The project is currently under construction.
